Healthy Lives Matter!
Ty was one of the first recipients of Branch Out's grants when the foundation was only 2 years old. The ideals of Branch Out echoed many of the thoughts that Ty had about medical practice, specifically within his field of mental health. This prompted him to get involved more directly with Branch Out so that he might share his experience with future generations of neuroCAM students.
Ty is currently the grant recipient coordinator for Branch Out, and on the side is a grad student at the University of Utah perusing clinical neuropsychology and behavioural medicine. His research focuses on using EEG (brainwaves) in neuropsychological assessment and how various aspects of lifestyle might impact assessment. The long-term goal is to use this type of assessment as an objective measure of mental health disorders and their recovery. But until then Ty is here to answer all your questions about Branch Out grants and research related policies.
