Sarah Lang is currently a Manager in Advisory Services at Ernst & Young. In her tenure as a management consultant, she has led international teams across North and South America with a focus in the oil and gas industry. Sarah has a Master’s Degree in Economics and has published work in the fields of International Trade Policy, Econometrics and Game Theory. Sarah is looking to bring her experience in strategy development and operating model design and implementation to the Branch Out Board. In addition, Sarah worked in the media as a host announcer and reporter, and she spent 3 years on the Advisory Board for the Dove Self-Esteem Fund.
Prior to consulting, Sarah had a successful career as a 6-time world cup medalist, World Championship medalist and Olympic alternate in Short Track Speed Skating. Originally from Boston, she spent over twelve years in Calgary while training at the Olympic Oval as a member of the US National Short Track Speed Skating Team. As a teammate, training partner and friend, Sarah was there through Crystal’s MS diagnosis and her incredible comeback. Crystal’s strength and positivity was an inspiration to Sarah, and that’s why she jumped at the chance to work with Crystal and the Branch Out Team as a Board Member.
