Description: Spinal cord injury occurs when the nerves in the spine are severed and no longer able to transmit information to the body. This study is looking at if implanted electrodes can be used to stimulate the body in place of the spinal cord in rats. This research could eventually lead to non-invasive stimulation approaches in humans.
